Tea of the week w/c26th July 2010 – Darjeeling 2nd Flush from Postcard Teas, London

This week (w/c 26 July 2010) I chose the very unique DARJEELING SECOND FLUSH – by Postcard Teas, London, UK. As many of you, i have known Dareeling teas as pretty ‘sharp’ ones ;), with strong flavour… This one is still refreshing, but most importantly it holds a very special (typical, as i was told, for Darjeelings, yet somehow lost in… commercial handling of these fab teas!) and unique lime/citrus flavour & an amazing flowery bouquet! Much gentler than you would expect! Feast for the nose! 🙂 well done Postcard teas! (Darjeeling Second Flush is sold by Postcard teas in London, it comes from Thurbo Tea Estate located in the valley of Mirik of Darjeeling, West Bengal, India).

You can see the pics on my facebook Maja’s Tea Library group page:

    • Thank you!!

As this was beginning of the blog, the post is quite short but we will be writing in more length about teas (see e.g. tea of the month in Jan 2011) and definitely about YOUR teas! one of the best places to go to in London! A true tea temple!
